"I'm a woman of God, I've got 5 smooth stones and I'm not afraid to use them!"
This is what I told the women in Worland, WY this weekend at the conference I led at the invitation of my friend Martha Lawley.
We camped out in the valley of Elah with David and Goliath and determined that if David could take his giant down with a slingshot and a stone, we could certainly do that too!
When we were children we made heroes out of the ordinary people we find in the Bible who did extraordinary things. But as I've grown up, I've grown to recognize that the only thing that separated those people from me was their faith in God.
The Bible is full of stories that challenge us to step up to the battle line and declare our confident faith that...
OUR GOD IS BIGGER, BETTER, and ABLE!
Don't you want to take your giants down? It's high time those of us who know Jesus as our Savior and LORD put our privileged relationship into action.
