Come enjoy my favorite spot on planet earth! My “laughing place” sits on the top of a hill off the beaten path just 7 miles east of the TN/NC state line. You will be staying in a farmhouse (circa 1927) that is graced with a wrap around porch fully furnished with rockers, gliders, napping sofas, dining tables and chairs.

This is where I write my books. It’s my family’s private getaway, and even though we are now sharing it with others, it’s not a showroom kind of home. It’s comfortable and clean, old and loved; and like a seasoned cast iron skillet–it just gets better with use.
