Hi my friends, welcome to our Author Spotlight page. One of my favorite things to do is to interview authors of the books that inspire me! There’s nothing like getting a bit of the back story–and sharing it with you.

Here’s my friend, Evelyn Sherwood.

SHE LEARNED THAT SHE COULD PAINT WHEN SHE WAS GOING THROUGH REHAB AT THE HOSPITAL! ! 

Isn’t that great?! God used the suffering Evelyn endured to birth a beautiful ministry of words and art for countless others who are walking the same paths. I hope that when you purchase her books, you’ll buy a few at a time so you’ll have them on hand to give when your people need them.

My name is Evelyn Sherwood, and it is pure joy to meet you! It’s both an honor and humbling to know that you chose to take time out of your busy day,  pull up a chair,  and breathe in this space. So, here’s a little about me.

I was born and raised in the Midwest and have been married 40 years to my college sweetheart (the one I chased until he caught me).

We launched two beautiful children out of our home only to find them coming back again and again with their spouses and eight grandbabies. Talk about glorious chaos. We have it in bucket fulls. (Leighann: ME TOO! –except I had 3!) 

The same church that called us to serve them 29 years ago is still “family”, as well as the community of faith we are surrounded by in this smallish midwest town. 

True confession: I watch Hallmark Christmas movies all year, Pumpkin Spice Latte is my favorite season, and my idea of a 5-star hotel is camping in the clubhouse with my “Grands.”
